The Story Behind The Biz Oasis
I learned early how to see what the business needs next.
Before The Biz Oasis, before AI became the conversation, and before systems became a buzzword, I spent decades solving complex operational problems, leading global teams, building businesses, and learning how growth affects the people responsible for carrying it.
The common thread through my entire career has been this: when pressure increases, the structure underneath the business matters even more for the team and the client.
Global Leadership
I learned leadership in rooms all over the world.
My career took me well beyond managing projects from behind a desk. I traveled globally, led cross-functional teams, facilitated meetings, worked with customers and technical organizations, and navigated business environments across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Brussels. London. Newcastle. Hong Kong. Canada. The Philippines. Different cultures, different expectations, different ways of communicating—but the same responsibility: create alignment, solve the problem, and deliver.
That experience developed something I still use every day: the ability to read an environment quickly, see where the friction is, and understand what people and systems need in order to move forward.
I opened a day spa. Weeks later, the world shut down.
I had barely opened the doors when COVID changed everything. Yet during one of the most difficult periods imaginable for a new wellness business, we earned 5-star reviews and grew into a six-figure spa.
That experience changed the way I understood business. I saw firsthand how deeply stress, self-care, customer experience, leadership, and the way a business operates are connected.
During a time when professionals were carrying extraordinary levels of stress, I believed laughter could be part of the medicine. That led me to pioneer Curls, Cuts & Comedy— creating a place where people could step away from the pressure, laugh, reconnect, and find a little solace during a stressful world shutdown.
Six-Figure Spa
During COVID
Stress sent me back to my technology toolbox.
The spa changed the way I understood stress and self-care. But my instinct was never to treat stress only as a personal wellness issue.
I had spent decades in technical operations and global service delivery. I already knew that many of the pressures leaders experience are created by the way work is structured: disconnected systems, unclear processes, unnecessary manual work, weak delegation, poor visibility, and organizations that depend too heavily on one person.
So I reached back into the corporate technology and operations toolbox I already knew and began connecting the pieces.
AI did not introduce me to technology. Technology was already home.
My AI journey did not begin because AI suddenly became popular. I was already grounded in technology, systems, technical operations, implementation, global service delivery, and complex business environments.
So AI came naturally to me. I understood early that its value was not in collecting the latest tools. The value was in understanding where intelligence, automation, and better workflows could actually remove friction from the business.
That led me to become a Strategic AI Business Architect, Certified AI Consultant, and Prompt Engineer.
The technology evolved. My approach did not: understand the business first, identify the real problem, and then determine where technology belongs.

I can usually see where the business is getting in its own way.
Sometimes the obvious problem is not the real problem. A technology issue may actually be a process problem. A team issue may be rooted in leadership. A customer experience problem may begin several steps earlier inside the operation.
More than 25 years of leading global operations, building businesses, managing complex programs, serving customers, and navigating change trained me to look beyond the symptom and identify what is really creating friction underneath it.
I bring a combination of strategic instinct, technical depth, operational experience, leadership perspective, and entrepreneurial reality to the table.
Every chapter eventually became The Biz Oasis.
Today, The Biz Oasis brings together the disciplines that shaped my career and my life: technology, operations, entrepreneurship, stress management, leadership, customer experience, strategy, systems, and AI.
I do not come from the world of generic business coaching. I come from the trenches of global service delivery and from the experience of building businesses myself.
That means the work is both strategic and practical. We look at the business as a whole, identify where the pressure and friction are coming from, and build the structure needed to support what comes next.
The methodology evolved as I did.
